Former K'taka CM Bangarappa quits Cong, again

Davangere (Karnataka): In a blow to the ruling Congress in Karnataka, former Chief Minister S Bangarappa today (Feb 29, 2004) announced his decision to quit the party.

"It is certain that I have decided to leave the Congress," Bangarappa told reporters at Harihar, near Davangere, on his way to his home district of Shimoga.
