Pak has given more information on Khan: Powell Saturday, March 6 2004 09:27 Hrs (IST) Washington:
Pakistan has given United States "additional information" about the proliferation activities of nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan, Secretary of State Colin Powell has said.
"We have learnt a great deal about A Q Khan's network information we had before the recent revelations as well as additional information we have acquired from the Pakistani authorities as a result of their inquiries," he said.
Powell however did not reveal the details of the information while jointly appearing with South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki-Moon yesterday (Mar 5, 2004).
"I think we are learning a great deal more about the network and we are tracking the network to all of its various customers and all of the different parts of the network infrastructure.
"And I think we have pretty much taken the network apart in the sense that it is not going to be much in the future, and we are going to work hard to pull up everything that we know about it from the past."
Powell will be visiting Pakistan during his South Asian tour beginning on March 14.
