CBI conducts raids on premises of 71 public servants

New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today (Mar 10, 2004) conducted nationwide raids on premises of 71 public servants, seized a huge amount of cash, CBI director U S Mishra told reporters in New Delhi.

As case of disproportionate assets (DA) has been registered against a public prosecutor of Tiz Hazari court, Mishra said, adding DA worth Rs 25 lakh were detected so far.

CBI has also registered a DA case against airport manager of the Indian Airlines he said.

A case has been registered against and assistant of the Indian Oil Company, the CBI director said.

A case has also been registered against deputy director of Anti-Adulteration Cell and Rs 2.5 lakh cash has been recovered from his residence in Chennai.
