New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Shipping Dilip Gandhi today (Mar 15, 2004) resigned from the Union Council of Ministers, a day after he was denied ticket from the Ahmednagar Lok Sabha constituency in the coming elections.

Gandhi, who submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, said he was not quitting the party and would discharge whatever responsibility entrusted to him by the party leadership.
