'Hang Rane, Munde if they are guilty in Telgi scam' Thursday, March 18 2004 22:48 Hrs (IST) Mumbai:
"Hang BJP leader Gopinath Munde and former Chief Minister Narayan Rane if they are guilty of any wrongdoing in the Telgi scam but take the probe to its logical end," Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray said today (March 18, 2004).
In an interview to a private channel this evening, the Sena chief said, "The stamp scam must be investigated thoroughly...take it right back when Vilasrao Deshmukh was Revenue Minister and even to the present Revenue Minister Ashok Chavan, whose name is also being taken."
Continuing his opposition to resumption of Indo-Pak cricket ties, Thackeray reiterated that Sena would not allow Pakistanis to play in the metropolis.
"What is this happening...I am not against the boys...they are doing good...but has terrorism gone? Have they stopped attacking us? Maybe we should now play cricket on the Line of Control and maybe terrorists will stand on the sidelines and applaud your fours and sixes," Thackeray remarked sarcastically.
