Beware of vested interest elements joining BJP: DPM
Tuesday, March 23 2004 09:49 Hrs (IST)

Dholpur: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today (Mar 22, 2004) cautioned his partymen against those joining BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) for their vested interests asking them to "beware of such elements".

"I am not stopping any one from joining BJP. Every one who comes into our fold is welcome. But I am cautioning my own people to be beware against those joining the organisation for their vested interests," Advani told a large public meeting tonight after arrival of his "Bharat Uday Yatra" in the town.

Talking about political parties making alliance with BJP he said, "They themselves are coming to us. We are not forcing anyone to join us. They are joining hands with BJP because of Vajpayee Government's development works and its policies."

BJP, he said, was getting huge support from South too this time which "never happened in the past and that was a big thing".

Listing the achievements of Vajpayee Government, Advani said, "The country not only made strides in development but also experienced political stability after many years and found new respect in international arena."

Earlier, he was accorded a rousing reception on arrival of his rath yatra. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, her Ministerial colleagues, State BJP chief Lalit Kishore Chauturvedi and other party functionaries were present to welcome the yatra.
