Advani not apologetic over 1990 Ram Rath Yatra
Tuesday, March 23 2004 13:42 Hrs (IST)

Dholpur (Rajasthan): Refusing to be "apologetic" over the 1990 Ram Rath Yatra, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today (March 23, 2004) said it had started a debate on real and pseudo-secularism.

"I am not apologetic at all about the Ram Rath Yatra I had undertaken in 1990. It started a debate on genuine and pseudo-secularism and its effect on the country is for all to see," Advani told newspersons.

Lashing out at the Congress for "keeping the leadership issue" under the warps, Advani said their attempt to posit a challenger to him lack credibility. The Congress has no answer to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee as a leader.

The DPM said Congress was suffering from leadership crisis.
