Advani leaves for last leg of yatra, PM to join

Pathankot: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani left this morning (Mar 26, 2004) for Amritsar on his last leg of his 17-day 'Bharat Uday Yatra', which commenced from Kanyakumari on March 10.

Union Minister Vinod Khanna and Punjab BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) president Avinash Rai Khanna were among those accompanying Advani on the last leg.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is scheduled to receive the yatra at Amritsar later in the day.

The Yatra would go to Amritsar via Dina Nagar, Batala and Gurdaspur.
