Anup's bhajans to blend with Bhupen's ballads in BJP
Friday, March 26 2004 18:34 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: After Bhupen Hazarika and Kumar Sanu, it was today (Mar 26, 2004) devotional singer Anup Jalota's turn to sing paeans for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Jalota, who claimed to have been closely associated with the Jansangh ideology since his childhood, joined the saffron party in the presence of party general secretary Pramod Mahajan and Union Law Minister Arun Jaitley.

'Sare Jahaan Se Achcha, Hindustan Hamara' sang Jalota, claiming that he was impressed by the nuclear tests carried out by the Vajpayee Government, the record foreign exchange reserves, food grain surplus and unprecedented improvement in Indo-Pak relations.
