Be cautious while dealing with Pakistan: VHP Monday, March 29 2004 22:22 Hrs (IST) Raipur:
Welcoming the Government's decision in thawing ties with Pakistan, VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) today (Mar 29, 2004) advised the Centre to adopt a cautious approach while extending a hand of friendship with the neighbouring country.
"We welcome the steps of friendship with Pakistan but experiment should be carried out with cautious as old experience says when ever it become stronger there were problems," senior international Vice President of VHP Acharya Giriraj Kishore told reporters in Raipur.
Stating that there should not be a partisan like situation in the country, Kishore said in one-side hand of friendship are extended and on the other side terrorism is continued in Kashmir.
"Hence, in clear term they should be asked to stop terrorist then only the hand of friendship be extended," he said.
Replying to a question whether BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has diverted from the Hindu agenda, Kishore said if that was true then why Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani is repeatedly raising the Ram Mandir issue as they knew without Hindutva they can not sail through the poll.
Replying to another question he said he do not see any thing wrong in calling Congress President Sonia Gandhi a foreigner since she is not from this country.
