NDTV to provide 'free airtime' to political parties

New Delhi: NDTV today (April 2, 2004) said it would provide "free airtime" on its English and Hindi channels to political parties to air their views.

Party political broadcasts would be telecast in Hindi every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 hours (IST) on NDTV India and in English at 16:00 hours (IST) on NDTV 24x7 beginning on April 3 and April 4, the private TV channel said in a press release.

The channel said this was part of its commitment to provide viewers all election-related information.
