Patna:
Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi has sacked the Minister of State for Commercial Taxes Dadan Singh alias Dadan Pahelwan for defying RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) president Laloo Prasad Yadav by filing nomination against party official nominee and Minister for Excise Shivanand Tiwari from Buxar Lok Sabha constituency.
The Chief Minister recommended dropping of Dadan Singh's name from the council of Ministers in a letter sent to Governor M Rama Jois last evening (Apr 2, 2004).
Dadan Singh and his wife Usha Devi have filed papers for Buxar as independent candidates.
Earlier, RJD State president Abdul Bari Siddiqui had demanded stern action against Dadan Singh for defying the party.
Purnamasi Ram and Chedi Paswan have already resigned from the Rabri Devi Ministry following denial of ticket to them to contest from Bagha and Sasaram.
Dadan Singh was an independent member in the State Cabinet.
