'RJD will be finished if Advani's Yatra is stopped' Saturday, April 3 2004 17:46 Hrs (IST)
Patna:
Asserting that the party has made preparations for full security of Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani's "Bharat Uday Yatra" in Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today (April 3, 2004) said if Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav stopped the Yatra this time, the identity of his (Laloo's) party would be finished.
''We are receiving threats to stop Advani's yatra. Lalooji has also made a similar statement to stop the Yatra,'' BJP's State general secretary and in-charge of the Yatra in Bihar told reporters.
He said RJD might remember the consequence of such a misadventure in 1991 when he had stopped Advani's Yatra and if he repeated his action this time Laloo Prasad's RJD would cease to exist.
''The ultra-Left outfits, which do not have any faith in Democracy, too have threatened to disturb the Yatra. We have made complete arrangements for the security,'' Singh said, adding trained youths of the Yuva Morcha of BJP would move in groups to take care of the security all along the Yatra.
Advani's rath would enter Gopalganj district in Bihar on April 7. The Deputy Prime Minister would address a number of election rallies during his two-day visit to the State.
