RPI to support Jethmalani against Vajpayee

New Delhi: Republic Party of India (RPI) today (April 4, 2004) said it will support the candidature of former Law Minister Ram Jethmalani, who is contesting against Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee from Lucknow.

"A national level meeting of RPI yesterday extended support and help to Ram Jethmalani in his bid to win the Lok Sabha seat from Lucknow," a party press statement said.

RPI president Ramdas Athvale said he will campaign for Jethmalani and address public meetings in the constituency.
