'Jai Sri Ram', mantra for cultural liberation: VHP Sunday, April 4 2004 15:00 Hrs (IST)

VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) international president Ashok Singhal today (Apr 3, 2004) called upon the people to strive for "cultural and dharmic liberation".
The "vibrant mantra of Vande matram" was used for achieving political liberation of the country and similarly for cultural liberation, the mantra should be "Jai Sri Ram", he told a meeting organised to mark the culmination of the year long celebration of the 12th birth anniversary of the Mother at the Aurobindo Ashram.
He said there should be unity among the people for establishment of Ram Janma Bhoomi.
Stating that several insults had been heaped on the Hindus in the past, he said there should be no slackness in erasing them fast.
He said the concept of Auroville visualised by the Mother and being implemented now was an example of unity of mankind and the concept should be emulated across the country.
RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) chief K S Sudarsan, who also spoke, said the basic energy of the country was always vibrant and hence it would always see ascendancy in its efforts. The country was moving towards great transformation, he added.
He recalled the spiritual thrust that drove the Mother to establish successfully several experiments in spiritualism. Her contribution to education and the setting up of the International Education Centre were also praiseworthy.
