Fallujah (Iraq): US marines today (Apr 7, 2004) bombed a mosque in the heart of this Iraqi town of Fallujah killing up to 40 people who were inside the mosque, according to reliable sources.

The attack was carried out from a jet aircraft, the sources reported.

"We wanted to kill the people inside," an officer has been quoted as saying.
