Thursday, April 8 2004 15:11 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (Apr 8, 2004) expressed confidence that the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) will "take necessary action" on the latest media reports concerning the multi-crore Bofors gun deal.

"Bofors case is in the court. The judicial process is on. Today some new facts have come to light. I am confident that the CBI will look into it and take necessary action," Vajpayee said when asked to comment on a newspaper report alleging links between key accused and Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the Bofors case.
