Wipe out Laloo-Rabri regime from Bihar: Advani
Friday, April 9 2004 10:08 Hrs (IST)

Nawadah: In a sharp attack on the Bihar Government, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today (Apr 8, 2004) asked the people to "wipe out the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) in Bihar" in the coming Lok Sabha polls and warned that if the Laloo-Rabri regime did not mend its way, the people of the State would force them out of power.

Addressing large crowds in Gaya, Wazirganj and Hasura in the course of his 'Bharat Uday Yatra', he said there is deep anger and frustration against the present Bihar Government, which is reflected in the tremendous turnout throughout the State wherever his yatra had passed through.

He said the incompetent Government should be clearly told that it does not deserve a single seat of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the State. This will serve as a warning to the "worthless Government" to either mend their ways or the people would throw them out, he added.

Amidst loud cheering and vociferous response from the crowds, Advani said, "What kind of a Government is this that does not care about the welfare of the people and good governance? Road, power, water do not figure in this Government's agenda. This is a Lok Sabha election, which cannot dislodged this Government but will warn it to change the way it functions."
