Let them harp on Bofors, says unruffled Priyanka Saturday, April 10 2004 13:04 Hrs (IST)
Munshiganj (Amethi):
"Let them raise the issue and harp on it," Priyanka Gandhi tonight (Apr 9, 2004) said reacting to resurrection of the Bofors issue in the wake of a newspaper report.
To a question, Priyanka, who arrived to formally launch the election campaign of her mother Sonia Gandhi from Rae Bareli constituency, told reporters, "Let them (our detractors) raise the issue and harp on it."
Asked about her mother's electoral prospects, Priyanka said, "We have already won hearts of the people of Rae Bareli and winning the election is just a matter of time."
Priyanka, who was accompanied by her husband Robert Vadara, said during her two-day stay in her mother's constituency, she would oversee the poll campaign and mobilise party workers.
She would also tour the constituency and meet locals to listen to their problems.
