New Delhi:
The All India pre-medical and pre-dental entrance examination (AIPMT), which was cancelled after the examination papers were leaked, will now be held on April 17, CBSE announced today (Apr 12, 2004).
"In view of the question paper leakage of AIPMT 2004 the CBSE has decided to hold it on April 17 between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.," controller of the examination Pavnesh Kumar said in a release.
Kumar said the examination would be held at the same centres as mentioned in the admit cards issued to the candidates.
"The roll numbers would also remain unchanged. The candidates are requested to report at the respective examination centres on Saturday, April 17 at 9.15 am," he said.
The Government yesterday (Apr 11, 2004) ordered a CBI probe into the
leakage of question papers on Saturday night (Apr 10, 2004).
CBSE chairman Ashok Ganguly had said there were certain weak links like transport and storage of papers, which could have led to the leakage.
A number of agitated students and their parents raised slogans and demonstrated outside CBSE headquarters in Delhi yesterday.
