Pratapgarh: Congress nominee from Amethi Lok Sabha constituency Rahul Gandhi today (Apr 12, 2004) said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was raking up the foreign origin issue of his mother and Bofors case on the eve of elections, as it was devoid of any other issue.

Addressing people at Newarhiya village in the district on way to Dhaurahara village under Amethi constituency, Rahul said his father had intimate relationship with the erstwhile scion of Kalakankar in Pratapgarh Raja Dinesh Singh, a former Union Minister.
