Two cops injured in Chhattisgarh landmine blast

Raipur: Three policemen, including two officers, were today (Apr 13, 2004) injured in landmine blasts allegedly triggered by the naxals, in Bastar division of Chhattisgarh, police said.

"The naxals of Peoples' War Group (PWG) triggered four landmine blasts in Pujarikanker area of Bijapur police district of Bastar division," police said adding that the encounter with the ultras was on.

A sub-inspector, an assistant platoon commander and a constable of the Special Armed Forces of Chhattisgarh were injured in the blast, police added.
