Jethmalani owns assets worth over two crore

Lucknow: Ram Jethmalani, fighting from the prestigious Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency against Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is a millionaire with Rs 62 lakh and £ 55,000 in banks, Rs 50 lakh invested in mutual funds and shares, besides a house worth 1.25 crore in Mumbai.

According to an affidavit submitted along with his nomination papers filed in Lucknow yesterday (Apr 12, 2004), the eminent lawyer had cash amounting to Rs five lakh, SBI bonds worth Rs. 6.75 lakh, an investment of Rs 40 lakh in mutual funds and shares worth Rs 10 lakh.
