'US had no advance knowledge of Rantissi killing'
Sunday, April 18 2004 19:36 Hrs (IST)

Washington: White House National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice said today (April 18, 2004) that the United States had no "advance knowledge" of Israel's assassination of Hamas chief Abdelaziz Rantissi.

"The Israelis of course don't tell us that they're about to do something. And the United States has no advance knowledge of any sort of thing of that kind," she told Fox News.

"The President has made clear in the past that it is important for Israel to keep in mind the consequences of everything that it does."
