Pak Prime Minister to visit New Delhi in August
Tuesday, April 20 2004 09:39 Hrs (IST)

Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali today (Apr 19, 2004) said that he would visit India in August as the Chairman of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) to discuss progress on the decisions taken during the SAARC summit.

Jamali told private TV Channel Geo in an interview that it was broadly decided that he would go to New Delhi, which would be his first destination among the SAARC nations, in August but no dates were finalised for the visit.

Jamali took over as the SAARC Chairman at the summit held in February this year.

He said during his visit to India, he would confine his talks with Indian leadership to issues related to SAARC and issues concerning India-Pakistan would not figure.

He would be visiting other SAARC countries in September.
