Uma Bharti's condition stable, say doctors Friday, April 23 2004 10:26 Hrs (IST)

The condition of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti, who was admitted to Raje Bahadur hospital following giddiness, was stable.
Bharti, who had developed chest pain while on way to attend a poll rally and was last night (Apr 22, 2004) admitted to the hospital, is better and is taking light food, the doctors attending on her said.
Bharati is likely to be discharged today (Apr 23, 2004), Dr Daulatrao Aher, also a city BJP MLA, and Dr Narayan Devgaonkar said.
The MP Chief Minister had addressed poll rallies at Aurangabad and took off to attend a poll rally of Union Minister Ram Naik at Dahisar yesterday, when she reportedly felt "chest pain" and asked the chopper commander to make an emergency landing at Akole in neighbouring Ahmednagar district.
After a primary check-up, she was brought here for further treatment.
