Dialogue best option to resolve fee cut issue: IIM-I Sunday, April 25 2004 16:10 Hrs (IST)
Indore:
The newly appointed director of Indian Institute of Management-Indore (IIM-I) today (Apr 25, 2004) said that "continuous dialogue" was the best option to solve the vexed fee cut issue concerning the prestigious institutions.
Addressing reporters at the Press Club, the director Dr S P Parashar, while replying to a query on the issue, said "continuous dialogue can solve 99.9 per cent of the problems".
While maintaining that "least said is better", Parashar said that the boards of the prestigious institutions were the right forum to discuss the issue, but added with regards to the case before the Supreme Court, he said, IIM-I has sought further time from the apex court to file its reply on the issue, as the time give given to it till April 16 was insufficient.
Till the issue is resolved, Parashar said, the IIM-Indore like others would charge the fees as before and after deducting Rs 30,000, the remaining would be deposited in a non-lien account with the bank.
