PM asks people to give NDA a fresh mandate Sunday, April 25 2004 19:54 Hrs (IST)
Rewa (MP):
Promising to fulfill the "unfinished" task, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (April 25, 2004) asked people to give one more term to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) saying it is necessary to raise a superstructure on the foundation laid for development in the past five years of its rule.
"Whatever remained unfinished during past five years of NDA rule will be achieved in the next five years for which we need to be voted to power again... It is necessary for us to fulfill people's aspirations," he said at an election meeting.
Stressing that BJP has kept its doors open for forging post-poll alliances with like-minded political parties, Vajpayee said people of the country have now accepted coalition politics. "Clean and transparent alliances are bound to emerge victorious in electoral battle," he said.
