IIM-Indore to go by Govt recommendation on fees
Tuesday, April 27 2004 21:51 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management-Indore (IIM-I) today (April 27, 2004) made it clear that it would charge only Rs 30,000 as recommended by the Human Resources Development Ministry.

Denying reports that the Institute had decided to charge the full fees as before, newly appointed Director of the Institute S P Parashar said, "We clarify that no such decision has yet been taken by the Board of Governors of IIM-I in this matter."

He made this clarification in a letter he sent to a senior official of the Ministry.

Reports had said that the Institute would be charging full fees from the current batch of students and out of the total amount, Rs 30,000 would be kept in the Institute's account while the remaining would be in a non-lien account to be adjusted subject to the Supreme Court's decision.
