Aurangabad: Two policemen were killed in an attack by banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) ultras at a police station in Bihar's Aurangabad district early today (Apr 27, 2004), a senior police official said.

Over 100 ultras attacked Simra police station in the district and opened indiscriminate fire and later blasted a portion of the premises, superintendent of police M R Nayak said.

Two policemen were killed in the attack, he said, adding the naxalites escaped after looting four rifles from the police station.

Police have sealed entry and exit points to Aurangabad and raids were being conducted to nab the naxals, Nayak said.

Nayak and other senior officials are camping at the police station.
