Repoll begins in 417 polling stations in Bihar Thursday, April 29 2004 10:59 Hrs (IST)

Repoll began this morning (Apr 29, 2004) at 417 polling station spread over 15 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar which went to polls in the second phase on April 26.
Repoll was stated to be peaceful so far with elaborate security arrangements in place, official sources said.
Repoll is being held in 115 booths in Maharajganj, 34 in Bettiah, 33 in Gopalganj, 28 in Vaishali, 25 in Sitamarhi, 26 in Motihari, 21 in Bagaha, 27 in Sheohar, 20 in Jhanjharpur, 13 in Samastipur, 12 in Darbhanga, 12 in Muzaffarpur, 8 in Madhubani, 19 in Hajipur and 24 in Rosera.
The Election Commission had ordered repoll following complaints of large-scale electoral irregularities at the booths during the April 26 poll.
