MCC blows up police outpost, loot Bihar cops

Gaya: The banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) blew up a police outpost using dynamite in Bihar's Gaya district early today (Apr 29, 2004). Police said that over 200 heavily armed naxalites surrounded a building housing the Bharaundha police picket under Gurua police station in the wee hours today and detonated dynamites to blow up the building.

Policemen posted there fled following the incident. The naxalites looted two boxes containing the articles of the policemen.

Senior police officials were camping at the spot and raid continued to apprehend the extremists.
