Running a country is not child's play: Venkaiah

Lucknow: As Rahul Gandhi made an impressive road show in Kanpur, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president M Venkaiah Naidu today (May 3, 2004) attacked the Congress for taking help from children saying, "Running the country is not child's play."

Without naming Rahul or Priyanka who are actively involved in the Congress campaign, Naidu said, "Congress is taking help from children. But running the country is not child's play. It needs a person of experience who can provide stable leadership."

Only the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the BJP has an experienced and able leadership, which could provide stability to the country and ensure all-round development, he told reporters in Lucknow.
