Ten people, including three polling officials, were injured as militants carried out over a dozen attacks on polling booths, security personnel and residences of political leaders since last night (May 4, 2004) in Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency where elections are being held today (May 5, 2004) in the fourth phase.
Militants fired a rifle grenade at a polling station at Sarnal last night injuring five security personnel and three polling officials.
Two persons, including security personnel, were injured as militants attacked polling stations at Bijbehara and Shopian in Pulwama district, official sources said.
