The next PM will be from Uttar Pradesh, says Mulayam

Safai (UP): The next Prime Minister will be from Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav said today (May 5, 2004).

After casting his vote, he said that Uttar Pradesh would decide the future course of Indian politics. "The next Prime Minister will be from Uttar Pradesh," he added.

He did not say who it will be.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar and Yadav himself are contesting elections from Uttar Pradesh.
