IAF fighter plane crashes near Ambala, pilots safe

Ambala (Haryana): A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) today (May 7, 2004) crashed shortly after taking off from the airbase in Ambala.

Both pilots bailed out and there was no report of any casualty, official sources.

The plane crashed in the fields in Manmohan Nagar, three kms from Ambala city around 16.40 hrs (IST), they said.
