Goods trains collide near Mathura, one killed

New Delhi: One person was killed and three others were injured when two goods trains collided near Mathura this afternoon (May 10, 2004) leading to diversion of several trains.

Of the four railways employees, one was killed and three others sustained injuries in the rear collision, which occurred around 14:30 hrs (IST), Railway Ministry sources said.

The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, they said.

Traffic on the Delhi-Agra sector has been blocked following the mishap and work is on to restore normalcy.
