Krishna expresses happiness over Cong victory in AP

Bangalore: Expressing his happiness over the Congress' thumping victory in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna today (May 11, 2004) expressed confidence that the party would come back to power at the Centre too.

"The Andhra Pradesh outcome is a clear indicator of the shape of things to come in the country's politics," Krishna said in a statement.

He thanked the people of Andhra Pradesh on behalf of the Congress in Karnataka for reposing faith in the party and for their solid good governance and peace initiatives during the past five years.
