New Delhi: Vice chairman of Reliance Industries Anil Ambani had a meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her residence this evening (May 12, 2004).

Ambani told reporters after his brief meeting that it was a "courtesy call."

No other details were available, as even the Congress did not comment on the meeting.

Earlier, Ambani also met with Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh.
