YS Reddy will be the new Andhra Chief Minister

Hyderabad: Y S Rajsekhar Reddy will be the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Reddy, who steered the party to a landslide victory ending a ten-year political drought for Congress, was unanimously elected Leader of the Congress Legislature Party at a meeting of the new MLAs.

His name was proposed by PCC president D Srinivas, who was also said to have been one of the contender, and seconded by senior leader K Ranga Rao.
