Advani expresses gratitude to Home Ministry staff

New Delhi: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today (May 14, 2004) thanked the Home Ministry staff in North Block with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government, having resigned yesterday after losing the Lok Sabha polls.

"I came to meet the officials of my Ministry and express my gratitude. I also convey my thanks to my three colleagues who served in the Ministry with me," he said.

The three Ministers of State were I D Swami, Swami Chinmayanand and Harin Pathak.

He said the various measures taken by the Vajpayee Government since 1998 had strengthened the country.
