CPM will support Cong in a 'positive manner': Bose

Kolkata: Communist Party Marxist (CPM) politburo member Biman Bose today (May 14, 2004) said that his party would support Congress "in a positive manner" for the formation of a Government at the Centre.

"We are going to support Congress in a positive manner," Bose told reporters at CPM headquarters.

However, Bose hastened to add that the question of joining such a Government would be decided at the CPM politburo and Central Committee meeting in Delhi.

CPM politburo meets on May 15, while the Central Committee meeting is scheduled on May 16 and 17.

Bose, along with the veteran leader Jyoti Basu and Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee will leave for Delhi today to attend the party meetings.
