NCP to go by consensus of other allies on leadership

New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), an ally of Congress, today (May 14, 2004) said that it will go by the consensus of other allies on the leadership issue including Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Observing that the Congress president has convened a meeting of allies on May 16 or 17, party spokesman Praful Patel told reporters that "NCP will go with whatever consensus emerges".
