Hyderabad: A defeated Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate, K M Rehmatullah committed suicide by shooting himself in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh this morning (May 14, 2004), police sources said.

Rehmatullah (34), unsuccessfully contested from Anantapur Assembly constituency.

Rehmatullah went inside his bedroom and shot himself with his licensed revolver.
