Anju wins gold at Qatar Grand Prix long jump

New Delhi: World No. 7 Anju Bobby George gave a superb performance with her career-best 6.82m and topped the Qatar Athletics Super Grand Prix at Doha today (May 14, 2004), according to information received.

The 27-year-old has crossed her personal best mark of 6.74m in the pre-Olympic event.

George, who is also a national record holder in women's long jump, had finished fourth with 6.46m at the last week's IAAF Japan Open Grand Prix at Osaka.
