New Delhi: Planning Commission Deputy Chairperson K C Pant has resigned after remaining on the post for five years.

Pant, also member of Cabinet Committee on Security, submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on May 13 before the last Cabinet meeting, official sources said today (May 15, 2004).
