United Progressive Alliance is new Cong-led coalition

New Delhi: The newly formed Congress-led coalition, which is expected to assume office at the Centre on Wednesday (May 17, 2004), has been named "United Progressive Alliance" (UPA).

Senior Congress leader Manmohan Singh gave the name of the new coalition while making a detailed statement on the stock market crash today.
