Laloo's dream comes true, Sonia all set to be PM Monday, May 17 2004 09:31 Hrs (IST)
New Delhi:
With Congress president Sonia Gandhi all set to be the Prime Minister, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Laloo Prasad Yadav feels his dream has come true.
"Isn't my dream coming true," quipped Yadav, who recently remarked he will play the role of a Queen-maker, tonight (May 16, 2004).
He was responding to a query from reporters after attending a meeting of alliance partners where Gandhi was elected coalition leader.
The former Bihar Chief Minister said he will have a role in the new Government and his State's needs would be taken care of.
Yadav said after all alliance partners extend their support to the Congress president and the Gazette notification declaring elections closed was issued, Gandhi would stake claim to form Government.
Asked about the role of Samajwadi Party, of which he has been critical, the RJD leader said SP had said it will do what Left decides.
