M'rashtra Cong men threaten to resign en masse

New Delhi: All Congress ministers in Maharashtra, led by Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, and the party MPs from the State, will tender their resignation if Sonia Gandhi failed to reconsider her decision on Prime Ministership.

This was stated by Maharashtra Minister of State for Home Kripashanker Singh in New Delhi today (May 19, 2004).

Singh said the resignation letters would be given by the ministers to the Chief Minister to be forwarded to the Congress President.

Meanwhile, Shinde held a meeting with the party MPs from the State.
