Six former PMs attend Manmohan's swearing-in

New Delhi: Outgoing Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and five former Premiers were present at the swearing-in ceremony of Manmohan Singh as 14th Prime Minister of India today (May 22, 2004).

I K Gujral, V S Chandrashekhar, V P Singh, Narasimha Rao and H D Deve Gowda were present at the ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan's Ashoka Hall.

Immediately on arriving, Vajpayee exchanged pleasantries with Singh and both provided the lensmen with a photo opportunity.

Former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani was also present.
